About me: I’m a twenty-something black man, working hard and playing even harder.  Living the bachelor-life in every sense of the word, and enjoying every second of it.

I blogged on another site from 2004-2007, and after constant suggestions from a good friend of mine, I’ve decided to return.  At last check-in, I was a twenty something single guy starting his career and life in Charlotte, NC.  I had a great family, great friends, and the beginnings of a GREAT career.  So much has changed since then… These days I am living in New York City and am enjoying traveling around the world in the career of my dreams.  To put things in perspective…

2007 – I like to say that this was the ‘worst’ year of my life, but the optimist in me says that it was the ‘most challenging’ year of my life.  I learned a lot about relationships, love, life, family, what’s important, what’s not, who matters, and who does not.  Despite all of the positive things happening in my life, I literally hit bottom and had a break down.  Through it all, my friends and my family helped me get up and dust myself off.  But thankfully, I was able to cut my losses early and start anew… someone entered my life and made me believe in love again… and I was offered an opportunity to move to NYC to take my “dream-job”

2008 – Life in New York City has been everything that I dreamed it would be.  The good definitely out-weighs the bad, and I am pleased with the decisions that I’ve made.  My career in business consulting has taken me to Seoul and South Africa.  Traveling has given me an expanded perspective of the world, and has really challenged my opinions and beliefs about life.  This year did have a few failed relationships, but I don’t blame the other person, I look in the mirror and just realize which things should be different the next time around.  This was a year of transition of growth.

2009 – This year is all about making better decisions for Mr. Hudson.  I know that “making better decisions for [me]” has the negative connotation of “it’s all about me and forget everyone else”, but anyone who knows me knows that is not my style.  I have the greatest friends in the world (they freaking ROCK!!).  I plan to continue to grow professionally, spiritually, emotionally and really just better myself in all aspects of life.

As a start, I’m going to give a bit of publicity to an artist that some overlooked in 2008 – Solange Knowles & The Hadley Street Dreams… people give Beyonce far too much press (luv ya B!), view her latest video below… good song with a great melody and an even greater message.
